4 Steps of Goal Setting: Part 4

Tomorrow is the day! Can you honestly say that you’re going into the new year fully prepared? Have you set your goals and determined your plan for 2022? Or are you going just to drift and hope for the best?

In the previous videos, I talked about 3 of the 4 steps of goal setting, which are:

Step 1: Figure out who you want to be

Step 2: Analyze the gap

Step 3: Create action items around those goals

For the fourth and final step, you need to ensure that you’ll be able to implement those plans and reach your goals.

Watch this video to learn more about the fourth step to setting your goals.

Step 4: Put it in a calendar.

We all have a routine; however, if we have goals to reach and gaps to close, we need to change that routine. For most of us, this can be overwhelming, especially if your current calendar is already full. In that case, I suggest you get a blank sheet and create an “ideal calendar.” Then each week, integrate 25% of your ideal calendar into your current calendar. The activities that’ll bring you closer to your goals are now fully integrated into your daily routine by the end of the month.

This process takes time, so I encourage you to do it now if you haven’t started yet. Because if you wait until mid-October or November to do this activity, then you’re already behind schedule.

I hope you find this 4-part video helpful. And remember, doing all these steps will help you walk into October 1st with the assurance that you will nail your 2022 goals.
